 1. Dudhsagar Falls, Goa  

  The literal meaning of the word Dudhsagar is ‘Ocean of Milk’. The water of this waterfall seems milky when it falls down a height of 310m at Mollem in Goa.

Some of the highest waterfalls of India are found in the state of Karnataka. Jog Falls, which is one of the most superb waterfalls, is the 2nd highest plunge waterfall in India. Visitors can feel the force of the fall against the rocks when water falls down the summit from a height of 253 meters. When this fall is in full flow during the season of monsoons, 3.4 million tones of water fall down the top every second.

3. Nohkalikai Falls, Meghalaya

4. Iruppu Falls, Coorg

9. Athirapally Falls, Thrissur, Kerala  


Athirapally Falls, which can be beheld in full flow during the  rainy season, is situated in Thrissur District of Kerala.

10. Shivasamudram Falls, Karnataka


These Falls have the particularity of discharging 19 million liters of water every second. The state of Karnataka is called the ‘State of Waterfalls in India’
